Dragon’s Star

So you won’t display those stars again
You gave them all to me for keeps
He tossed your love away my friend
And now inside you deeply weep.

But I can never hold them all
The sky is vast, someday you’ll see
Your crown of thorns, a pack of lies
From one who was a want-to-be.

Someday he’ll know it wasn’t true
His light long gone,  he’ll look for you
But his star will have become the sun
In a distant galaxy, for another one.
